1. Medical assistance to foreigners
Your rights to medical care in Kazakhstan
If you live here permanently:
Kandasy (ethnic Kazakhs who returned to their historical homeland), refugees, foreigners and stateless persons: Everyone who lives in Kazakhstan on a permanent basis can count on the same level of medical care as citizens of the country.
If you are here temporarily:
Temporary foreigners and stateless persons, as well as asylum seekers: You have the right to free medical care in cases of diseases that may pose a danger to others. The conditions for the provision of such assistance are determined by the relevant authority in accordance with legislation and international agreements.
Victims of Human Trafficking: If you have been identified as a victim of human trafficking, you also have the right to a guaranteed amount of free medical care.
Your responsibilities:
For everyone in Kazakhstan: Regardless of your status, whether you are a candidate, a refugee, a foreigner or a stateless person residing or temporarily staying in the country, you have the same healthcare responsibilities as citizens of Kazakhstan.

Important to remember:
In Kazakhstan, every person has the right to medical care. Your status affects how you receive this care, but your obligations to the health care system are the same for everyone. Make sure you know your rights and responsibilities to help ensure that you and those around you are cared for and safe.
